There are always deaths, however, sometimes the manner in which they die is too sad. Through time there’s been a myriad and tragic death that created a lasting impression across the globe. In this article, we’ll examine the 10 most horrific deaths in the history of mankind that we are still discussing today.
10. Sean Doyle
Sean Doyle fell down a manhole in New York City during the Christmas season in 2002. He plunged into liters of boiling water, with temperatures that were higher than 148 degrees. Because of the heat, rescue workers were unable to free the body, and had to listen to his cries as he was burned to death. Then, when his body was transported to the hospital and checked in, his body temperature was 125 degrees. The medical examiners thought that it was higher, however, thermometers aren’t able to go much higher. According to coroners’ reports, the blood pressure rose, leading to a heart attack. A hot froth formed as the insides of his body started to boil, causing pain in his neck, and then choking his neck. His skin’s outer layer had been ripped away, while his internal organs had been burned to death. There weren’t any fractured bones or brain injuries and he was totally at peace while he cooked to death.

9. William Wallace
Wallace’s death William Wallace occurred on August 23rd, 1305. After being convicted of treason Wallace was taken into his home in the Tower of London, where his clothes were taken away, and he was tied to a stake and then transported through the streets by horses. As if this wasn’t terrible enough, those watching threw feces and other debris at Wallace, the Scottish hero during the journey. Wallace was battered with rods and whipped by mobs when he walked through. In case Wallace’s experience was insufficient, the man was accused of robbery and murder, and sentenced to be executed for both offenses. However, Wallace did not find peace when he was tied up by a rope around his neck. He was not let to perish. The penis and testicles of William Wallace were chopped off in the next part of this horrific procedure. The intestines of Wallace were removed and burnt right before his eyes. It’s far from being completed. The removal of Wallace’s heart away from its chest is the second stage in this agonizing process. Wallace’s heart was taken from his body, however, we don’t know whether it was beating. The last step was to cut Wallace’s head off using an axe to ensure completeness.
8. Deborah Gail Stone
Debbi was a brand new Disneyland employee when she died after being smashed to death by an eerily spinning wall and a static stage wall in the “America Sings” attraction in 1974. The recently graduated Santa Ana High School graduate had accepted a position as a hostess in the attraction to earn a little extra before transferring to a college in autumn. Her sudden death caused a lot of grief in her hometown and led to heightened safety measures in Disney-themed parks. She was well-known for her beautiful appearance and kindness.

7. Byford Dolphin accident
It is considered to be one of the most devastating offshore drilling accidents in history. On the 5th of November in 1983, five people were killed in the course of work on a Norwegian semi-submersible oil rig located in gas fields located in the North Sea. They were inside a decompression chamber, and the chamber was decompressed explosively. The chamber’s pressure fell from nine atmospheres up to a single atmosphere milliseconds. The dead men were executed rapidly. The one nearest to the entryway died most brutally. He blew up. According to witnesses, there were several who saw it, it appeared as if the person was shaking their drink bottle and then opening the cap.
6. Gyorgy Dozsa
Gyorgy Dozsa was executed in punishment for his failed rebellion in the twisted twist of an official coronation. Dozsa was the leader of an unsuccessful revolt of the peasants against Hungarian nobles. Dozsa’s sentence was a mockery of his desire to rule. He was stripped of his clothes and was seated on a scorching iron throne, adorned with the fiery iron crown, carrying a red-hot scepter. A few slivers of his flesh were removed from him while the man was killed and handed over to his followers who were taken in prison. If his followers were unable to eat the flesh of their leader following being hungry for a number of hours, they could be executed.
5. Balthasar Gerard
Balthasar Gerard is the only one on this list that could be considered to have earned what was given to him. However, it was not the best way to spend your time. Following the shooting of William I of Orange twice with a pistol, Gerard murdered the Dutch independence leader. Gerard was arrested and execution was a horrific death, even by modern standards. Gerard was hung by a pole and beaten with a whip during the very first night of his detention. The wounds were later covered by honey, and the goat came in to extract the honey off the skin using the sharp end of its tongue. Following this, and a few other afflictions the man was forced to rest for the night in a solitary position with his feet and wrists tied in the form of a ball, which made it difficult to fall asleep. He was continually criticized and then hung on the pole with his hands tied behind his back for three days. After that, for a half hour, the weight was placed on his toes which were the largest. He was then forced to wear dog-skin footwear which were two fingers too narrow for his feet. This resulted in causing injury to the shoes. He was put in front of a blaze during this time. The heat caused his shoe to expand further, making his feet into stumps. The half-broiled flesh of his was removed by the shoes after they were later removed. Then he was branded on the armpits as if that was not bad enough. Gerard was executed on July 14, 1584.
4. Giles Corey
Giles Corey was stoned to death in his trial in the Salem Witch Trials for refusing to sign a plea in response to the witchcraft charges that were hurled at him. Sheriff George Corwin, charged with making a plea bargain, took Corey into a hole near the jail in which he was stripped naked and obliged him to lie down in the pit. Six men placed massive stones on top of a board that was placed over him for three days. “More than that,” Giles, the elderly man told the sheriff every time he went back to ask the plea of Corey. Giles was killed as a result of the weight of the rocks.
3. David Allen Kirwan
David Allen Kirwan was a 24-year-old man living in La Canada, California who died on the 20th of July 1981, while trying to save his pet from the hot water spring at Yellowstone National Park. The dog had jumped into Celestine Pool, a hot spring that had a temperature of more than 200 degrees Fahrenheit. Despite warnings from passers-by Kirwan plunged into the boiling water to save the dog. Kirwan suffered third-degree burns to the majority of his body. He died the following day. The dog called Moosie was not able to survive. The dog’s remains were never found in the water.
2. Hisashi Ouchi
Hisashi Ouchi, age 35 employed as a technician at a reactor at a nuclear power station. Tokaimura, a Japanese nuclear fuel conversion company, owns it. This was on the date of September 30th, 1999. Hisashi was exposed to the greatest amount of radiation anyone has been exposed to during recorded time. Hiroshi Ouchi was subjected to the most brutal torture you can imagine. He was able to live over three years by Japanese medical personnel who were looking to study the consequences of radiation after he received an extremely high dose of radiation while working. Hiroshi’s muscles and skin began to break apart after a few days and his stomach began to melt. It’s difficult to imagine the pain he felt.
1. Junko Furuta
Junko Furuta, a 16-year-old Japanese girl, was sexually assaulted and tortured for a period of 44 days before passing away. A random man attacked Junko when she was riding her bicycle home from a part-time job on November 25 the 25th of November, 1988. Junko was unaware that the three high school students were planning for her kidnapping. The darkest and most grueling days of Junko’s life on earth were just 44 days after. Junko had been battered and malnourished for a lengthy period. The internal organs of her were assaulted to the point that she was unable to control her bowel movements and her urination. They peed on her, suspended them from the roof, made her into a punching bag, tore her stomach off with dumbbells and smashed her face into the floor of the cement and beat her with iron rods, compelled the victim to consume live cockroaches as well as drink the urine of her, made her rest in the freezing balcony put her in an ice-cream freezer for a long time and then twisted a nipple using pliers as it was winter. The men took on her for mahjong on January 4, 1989. Despite being traumatized but she still dominated the game and was furious with the guys. They sprayed her with gasoline before lighting her on the fire. The woman died just two hours after.
These are just a few of the numerous tragic deaths that have occurred throughout the history of mankind. While some were accidental or natural events some were the result of people being violent or cruel. We’ll never know the amount of suffering the victims endured and yet their stories will serve as a reminder for everyone that life is valuable and that we should not take time to take for granted.
